Film PU, based on the technology accumulated in the textile industry, entered the nylon film business in 1996. It expanded to Jiaxing, China, in 2018 and Quzhou in 2023, continuing its growth. Nylon film, with stable quality, leads the domestic market as the No. 1 brand and is leaping to become a global leader.

Strengthening the foundation of growth

With its brand Hyosung Film, polyester film has developed continuously since 1997 by focusing on research and development in high-end film sectors. Moreover, we pay high attention to the environment by developing products with eco-friendly recycled materials in regard to ESG environmental policies.

Nylon Film

Hyosung’s Nylon Film is bi-ax oriented by T-die extrusion(1-line in Korea and 4-lines in China), and our capacity will be expanded with additional LISIM tandem extrusion(simultaneous) in 2025 to meet various demand by customers.
Nylon Film has low oxygen permeability, excellent heat resistance and pinhole resistance, widely used in refrigerated/frozen/retort foods and refill packaging & large bag.

  • For general food packaging (food packaging, microwaveable rice, Instant cup noodles, pattern-free packaging, blacket packaging, detergents)

    Packaging film can be applied to products that are suitable for customer needs, such as the vertical/horizontal balance of the tubular process and the thickness quality of the T-Die method. It has excellent impact strength, pinhole properties, and oxygen barrier properties, making it suitable for long-term storage of food and medicine, as well as medical supplies.

  • For retort packaging

    Retort films have excellent heat resistance and are stable for high-temperature/high-pressure sterilization processes used in retort foods. Compared to general products, the MD/TD shrinkage is approximately 36% higher, providing excellent protection characteristics for maintaining shape and protecting content during heat treatment of the final product.

  • For bi-axial adhesion (uncooked noodle, microwave rice, buffer materials)

    Film for bi-axial adhesion has better ink aptitude and adhesion compared to general products as it has a chemical coating on the surface of the cross-section of the film. It is used for packaging high-temperature sterilized products, and the high adhesion of lamination maintains the strength and barrier of the material.

  • For pharmaceutical use

    Pharmaceutical type has high mechanical strength and excellent property balance. It can withstand physical deformation due to molding operations and distributes force evenly in all directions, providing excellent resistance to cracking and other damages.

    No. 1 Nylon Film

    Equipped with both tubular and T-die stretchability facilities, Film PU supplies various types of products. Because nylon film has low oxygen permeability, excellent cold resistance, and excellent pinhole properties, it is used for packaging refrigerated, frozen, retort-packaged food, and refillable containers. In particular, the RT grade, which has excellent heat resistance, and the DT grade, which has excellent strength for pharmaceutical molding, are widely used.

Applications

  • For general food packaging

    Used to prevent deterioration of contents in refrigerated conditions and to extend shelf life, it is a commonly used material to prevent damage during distribution for general packaging.

  • For retort

    It is convenient to eat immediately by heating it with hot water or a microwave, and it can be preserved for a long time because it has completely removed air and bacteria.

  • For bi-axial adhesion

    This is a functional film that provides excellent lamination and ink adhesion against adherent thanks to the bi-axial adhesion coating treatment it has been given.

  • For pharmaceutical use

    This is a wrapper for pharmaceuticals that requires high levels of protective blockage, including pills and capsules. It must have properties such as longitudinal/transverse property balance and isotropy.

PET Film

Hyosung PET film uses high-quality raw materials and unique technological expertise to produce products with differentiated quality from conventional general-purpose films. With high mechanical strength, excellent thermal and chemical stability, Hyosung PET film is suitable for various industrial, optical, and packaging applications. It is used for various purposes, but is commonly used for packaging.

  • Industrial (for various food packaging such as snack, retort, coffee/sauce, etc.)

    Industrial film is applied in various industries such as release products, adhesive tapes, silicon films, solar control films, furniture/home appliance decorations etc.

  • Optical

    Used as the base film for prism sheets, micro-lenses, diffusion films and composite sheets used in backlight units (BLUs) for LCD displays.

  • Graphic

    Graphic films have excellent optical properties, super-transparency, dimensional stability, heat resistance, adhesion, and slip properties. Designed and controlled film surface and thermal shrinkage are suitable for laminex, advertisement, and printing, decor/tile laminate.

  • OCA

    Base film of release liners which requires no defect, excellent heat-resistance for protecting OCA(Optical Clear Adhesive) applications.

  • Polarizer Protection (Protective Purposes)

    The protective film/release film is attached to the polarizer for polarizer inspection, making it sensitive to foreign substances and requiring integrity in appearance.

  • MLCC (for release film)

    It is a ceramic- and nickel-stacked structure used as a component that stores electricity in semiconductors and electrical circuits, supplying electricity steadily when needed. Also, a PET film is released after use with a ceramic sheet coating material.

  • For Packaging

    It is widely used as a material for food packaging, offering various types of products with high functionality such as printability, adhesiveness, drivability and workability by applying surface treatment technology.
