Since 1998, Hyosung Chemical has been supplying PP Random Copolymer (PP-R) for pipes, the first of its kind in Asia, under the brand name "R200P” to respected manufacturers in South Korea and abroad.

  • Hot and cold water supplying pipes

    In particular, hot water pipes, which are used in high-temperature and high-pressure conditions, must be resistant to both pressure and heat.

PP-B for pipes

Hyosung's HPPB(PP-B) has been developed for sewage and
industrial pipes, which require high rigidity and long-term durability.

  • Replacement of PVC, widely used plastic material for sewage and drainage pipes

    PVC pipes that have been mainly used for sewage purposes are being replaced by PP pipes, especially in advanced countries, due to the high environmental impact of PVC (emission of plasticizers, dioxin generation during incineration, difficulty in recycling, lead stabilizer usage).

    Furthermore, the higher rigidity of PP pipes compared to traditional PE pipes minimizes deformation and cracking during use, ensuring long-term durability.

    Starting in 2001, we began developing high rigidity, high impact HPPB grades for sewage pipes, and started exporting in earnest in 2003 after overseas field evaluations and processing improvements.

PP for Transparent Containers

Hyosung Polypropylene R601, R701, R801, R901, R1001, R1101 and R1201 are intended for transparent containers due to its excellent transparency and well-balanced mechanical properties. Hyosung Polypropylene R301, R301E and R401E are the raw material for blow molding bottles due to its high transparency and gloss.
