This is the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS)'s integrated ESG (environmental, social, and corporate governance) rating for 2022.

KCGS classifies ESG rating into seven grades: S, A+, A, B+, B, C, and D.

Evaluation grade in 2021

The Company was founded on June 1, 2018 as a result of the division of Hyosung Corporation's chemical business. In 2019, KCGS evaluated it as Hyosung Co., Ltd., and in 2020, it will be evaluated as an independent corporation for the first time.

  • The ratings given on June 22, 2018, May 31, 2019, June 18, 2019, May 13, 2020, and June 12, 2020 are the ratings of unsecured bonds that Hyosung Corporation transferred to the Company at the time of the spin-off. They are credit ratings for corporate bonds with joint sureties of both the already existing and the newly established corporation.
  • In the case of issuer ratings and corporate bonds, the corresponding credit rating agency evaluated the Company in ten grades: AAA, AA, A, BBB, BB, B, CCC, CC, C, and D (from AA to B, a + or - may be assigned based on the relative position within the grade). There are six grades for commercial paper: A1, A2, A3, B, C, and D (from A2 to B, a + or - may be assigned based on the relative merits).
